Gypsy violin virtuoso Sergey Ryabtsev (sometimes spelled as Sergej Rjabcev, Sergey Rjabtzev or Serge Riabtsev) was born and raised in Russia. Currently Sergey is a member of Gypsy punk group Gogol Bordello. Despite his rock star status Sergey is also performing solo and with other groups including Russian music and dance ensemble Barynya and Russian Wedding Music Band 5GRAND.US.
