Educational multicultural school assembly program of Russian song, dance and music including Russian dance workshop. Every dance performed in a different set of beautiful costumes. All costumes were hand-made for the stage presentations. List of ensemble Barynya costumes includes four Russian sets ("Barynya", "Kalinka", "Russian Nobility", "Ivan Kupala", "Sailor's dance"), Siberian Nanai Tribe ("Nanaisky"), Russian Gypsy set ("Two Guitars", "Kai One"), Russian Cossack set (Cossack dance), Ukrainian (Hopak dance), Russian Siberian (Metelitsa), Jewish. Each costume set inspired by the place where the dance was originated from. Before each dance short explanation will be given about the costumes dancers will be wearing.
Russian dance and music ensemble Barynya in based in Brooklyn, New York. Performances are offered for schools in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, and other states. Mikhail Smirnov is the Artistic Direcor and founder of the ensemble.
