Nadia Smith is a jazz vocalist, and piano player. She is a native of Samara, Russia. Nadia Smith (Russian: Надежда Кузнецова) has toured many Russian cities including Moscow and Saint Petersburg as a bandleader and featured vocalist with local bands. She has played exclusive venues like the Astoria and the jazz philharmonic hall as well as on the Holland American cruise liner.

Nadya began her music career as a classical pianist and earned her degree in classical and jazz piano from the Moscow Academy of Music. In 2005, she decided to explore her talent as a vocalist influenced by Sarah Vaughn, Betty Carter, and Carmen McRae. She has been likened to Betty Carter in her improvisational styling.

Her love of Jazz led her to the United States where she has had various engagements both public and private in San Francisco and New York.

Nadia Smith has shared the stage with renowned jazz musicians Roy Hargrove, Ron Afif, Miles Griffith, and Bill Saxton, to name a few.
