Photos are from live performance of Russian dance, song and music ensemble Barynya at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in October 2006.

PROGRAM: Russian, Gypsy, Cossack, Ukrainian traditional dances, folk and popular songs, virtuoso performances on musical instruments with explanation of the program in English. INSTRUMENTS: balalaika, garmoshka, contrabass, buben, Gypsy and classic guitars. COSTUMES: colorful Russian, Gypsy, Cossack, Ukrainian stage outfits: "sarafans", "rubashkas", "sapogis", and "kosovorotkas". Each dance number performed in appropriate and authentic costumes, all hand-made by Svetlana Gavrilova.

BARYNYA PERFORMERS: Mikhail Smirnov (artistic director, garmoshka, guitar), Alex Siniavski (Gypsy guitar, balalaika, musical director) Ruslan Khain (c-bass), singer Alexander Menshikov. Dancers Vitaly Verterich, Andrij Cybyk, Mikhail Nesterenko, Ganna Makarova, Valentina Kvasova, Olga Chpitalnaia.
