Russian music, song and dance ensemble Barynya presented a few different Cabaret Show program, Russian, Siberian, Gypsy Roma, Ukrainian, Jewish songs, music and dances at the Kislak Camp located near Pennsylvania's Lake Como. The program of performances included Ukrainian songs and dances: "Pidmanula", "Marusya", "Hopak", "Galyu", Russian songs and dances: "Wide Sea (Раскинулось море широко)", "Barynya (Барыня)", "Small Apple (Yablochko, Яблочко)""Saturday Affair (Subboteya Субботея)", "Katyusha", "Moscow Nights", "Volga River", "The Peddler", "Along The Don River", "Kalinka", Russian Gypsy songs and dances: "Dark Eyes", "Two Guitars", "The Long Road", Russian Jewish songs and dances "Tumbalalaika", "Bublichki", "7-40", and many other popular selections.
Established in 1991, ensemble Barynya presents Russian, Cossack and Jewish traditional dancing and music on instruments including the balalaika, balalaika contrabass, guitar and garmoshka. Barynya has been invited to perform at some of the most prestigious cultural venues in the U.S., including Carnegie Hall, the Smithsonian, the United Nations and the Russian Embassy in Washington, D.C.
Ensemble Barynya is available for hire for the performing art centers, school assemblies, festivals, colleges, libraries, concert halls, restaurants, private and corporate events as one powerful ensemble or in smaller groups.
