Russian dance and music ensemble Barynya (Artistic Director/Founder Mikhail Smirnov) performed in Lakeside, Ohio at the Hoover Auditorium. Cast of performers: Mikhail Smirnov - vocal, garmoshka, guitar, Alex Siniavski (balalaika, Gypsy guitar, musical director), Andrij Cybyk - dancer, choreographer, Valentina Kvasova - dance captain, dancer, Leonid Bruk - balalaika contrabass, Alexander Menshikov - singer, tambourine, Victoria Pichurova - singer, Natalia Ejova - dancer, Natia Rtveliashvili - dancer, Stefan Kuziw - dancer, Alex Sizov - dancer.
The PROGRAM of performance included Russian, Cossack, Russian Gypsy, and Ukrainian traditional dances, folk and popular songs, virtuoso performances on balalaika, garmoshka, balalaika contrabass, Gypsy and classic guitars with explanation of the program in English. Colorful Russian, Gypsy, Cossack, Ukrainian stage costumes: "sarafans", "rubashkas", "sapogis", and "kosovorotkas". Each dance number performed in authentic costumes, all hand-made by Svetlana Gavrilova. List of numbers:

On Saturday, September 14th, 2024 from 11am to 10pm dancers, singers, and musicians of ensemble Barynya - dancer Viktoriia Lazareva, dancer Tara Kuhl, dancer/singer Valentina Kvasova, mandolin, domra and balalaika virtuoso Elina Karokhina, and Mikhail Smirnov (artistic director, garmoshka, guitar, vocals) performed five shows during an Annual St. George Russian Festival on the grounds of St. George Russian Orthodox Church in Loveland, Ohio. Dancers performed Russian, Tatar, Gypsy, Ukrainian, Irish, Moldavian, and classical ballet in different sets of beautiful stage costumes.
