Members of Russian dance and music ensemble Barynya, Duo Aleanya, and Flying Balalaika Brothers performed several social events, school assemblies, and formal performances in Puerto Rico.
On March 12, 2015 (6pm) Mikhail Smirnov, artistic director of Barynya Ensemble and Flying Balalaika Brothers visited a school in Auguadilla, sharing Russian culture, songs, music with students and teachers. Starting around 8:30pm they were entertaining guests during an event with Mayor Carlos Mendez Martinez in City Hall.
The first public performance began on the City Plaza On March 13th at sunset overlooking one of Aguadilla's many beaches. More than a thousand people made their way to the plaza, dancing and singing until the very end for a colorful grand finale with all the performers!
The Flying Balalaika Brothers and Barynya ensemble are available for hire for performing art centers, school assemblies, festivals, colleges, libraries, concert halls, restaurants, private and corporate events as one powerful ensemble or in smaller groups.
